KVS has released the lottery result / provisional list for Balvatika on April 8 and for Class 1 on April 9, 2026. For the states of Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry, the list will be released on April 10, 2026, due to polling day.

- Visit kvsangathan.nic.in or admission.kvs.gov.in
- Click on the “Admissions 2026-27” link on the homepage
- Select “Balvatika Provisional Selection List 2026” or “Lottery Result 2026”
- Select your State from the dropdown menu
- Select your Kendriya Vidyalaya from the list
The KVS lottery result PDF of the respective school will appear on the screen. Parents can check the admission status by searching the registration number. Download the PDF and save it for future reference.
Understanding Your Result Status
When viewing the result, you may see:
- Selected — The child is in the main provisional list and must report to the school for document verification.
- Waiting List (WL) — The child is in the queue; if selected candidates don’t take admission, seats will be offered to WL candidates in order.
Important Upcoming Dates
- Admissions for Balvatika and Class 2 onwards: April 15–20, 2026
- 2nd Provisional List: April 16, 2026
- 3rd Provisional List: April 21, 2026
- Offline Registration (if seats remain unfilled): April 22–26, 2026
Documents Required for Verification
Parents should ensure they have: online registration form, child’s date of birth certificate, applicable category certificates (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, BPL, EWS, SGC, or disability certificate), proof of residence, child’s Aadhaar card and blood report. For children of Defence personnel, a retirement certificate and service certificate showing transfers over the past seven years are also required.
Important Note
Selection in the lottery list does not automatically confirm your child’s admission. Final admission is confirmed only after successful document verification at the respective Kendriya Vidyalaya within the stipulated deadline. If any selected candidate fails to report for document verification, the seat may be offered to candidates on the waiting list.
