Haryana Lado Lakshmi Yojana Short Information

• The Haryana government has launched a new welfare scheme called the ‘Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana‘ to empower women in the state. Under the Haryana Lado Lakshmi Yojana, women living below the poverty line will receive a monthly financial assistance of ₹2,100 to help them become self-reliant and financially independent. In the first phase, the government has selected 20.97 lakh women as beneficiaries of this scheme.
• Eligible women will need to register through a dedicated mobile application. According to reports, Nuh district has the highest number of beneficiaries (1,28,932 women), while Gurugram district has the lowest (51,939 women). This clearly indicates that the scheme will be most beneficial for women in the rural and backward districts of Haryana.
• The primary objective of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana is to economically empower women from the poor and vulnerable sections of society. Through this initiative, the government aims to raise awareness among women regarding education, health, and social security. The financial assistance provided under this scheme can be used to start small businesses or income-generating activities, which will help women achieve long-term financial stability. The government has already started a pilot run of the mobile app, and beneficiaries will receive information via SMS before the official launch. A gazette notification has been issued, and the dedicated mobile application was officially launched on September 25, 2025.

Haryana Lado Lakshmi Yojana Latest Update

• On the first day of the New Year, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini approved the expansion of the Lado Lakshmi Yojana during a cabinet meeting. Under the revised scheme, mothers of government school students who secure 80% or more marks in Class 10 and Class 12 will now also receive ₹2,100 per month as financial assistance.
• This benefit will be provided to families with an annual income of up to ₹1.80 lakh. The key objective of the scheme is to prevent malnutrition and anemia among children and women by ensuring better nutrition and financial stability.
• The government has clarified that eligible women will receive ₹1,100 in cash every month, while the remaining ₹1,000 will be deposited as a fixed deposit, which will also earn interest. This financial assistance will be provided for a period of three years, further strengthening the economic security of beneficiary families.

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Haryana.
• Only women belonging to Haryana are eligible to apply under the Lado Lakshmi Yojana.
• The minimum age of the applicant woman should be 23 years.
• The applicant must not be employed in any government service.
• The annual family income should not exceed ₹1,40,000.

• Under this scheme, eligible poor women will receive ₹2,100 per month from the Haryana Government.

Haryana Lado Lakshmi Yojana Other Important Provisions

• The beneficiary woman will be required to complete monthly liveness detection (face recognition) verification through the mobile app to ensure the continuation of the pension.
  Under the scheme, beneficiaries will be automatically migrated to other applicable schemes based on age, such as the Old Age Samman Allowance at 60 years and the Widow/Destitute Women Pension Scheme at 45 years.
  If any woman is found to have availed benefits by providing false or incorrect information, the amount received will be recovered with 12% annual interest.
  In the event of the beneficiary’s death, the financial assistance will be paid only up to the concerned month, after which the payment will be discontinued.
