- −1/3 mark for each incorrect answer
- No marks added or deducted for unanswered questions
Formula: Raw Score = Total Correct − (Total Incorrect × ⅓)
For example, if you attempted 90 questions with 72 correct and 18 incorrect, your raw score would be 72 − (18 × ⅓) = 66 marks.

How to Raise an Objection
To raise an objection, go to the ‘Objection’ tab on your regional RRB portal. The team of experts examines all objections before processing results. If an objection is found correct, RRB revises the answer key and publishes a final answer key. The decision of RRBs is final and binding.
The objection fee is Rs. 50/- per objection, which is refundable only if the objection is accepted.
What’s Next After the Answer Key?
Based on historical trends, the RRB NTPC Result and Cut-Off marks for 2026 are expected in May/June 2026, published separately on all regional RRB websites.
Note that CBT-1 is only a qualifying/screening stage. Candidates are shortlisted for CBT-2 at 20 times the total post-wise vacancy in each zone, but the final merit is based on CBT-2 marks only.
