If your status shows “Verified”, “Approved”, or “Sent to PFMS” — check your bank account immediately. Credits may take 2–48 hours to reflect due to normal bank processing delays.

Status Messages – What Do They Mean?
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending at District Committee | Still under verification |
| Verified / Recommended | Approved — payment incoming ✅ |
| Sent to PFMS | Money in transit to your bank ✅ |
| Disbursed | Amount already credited ✅ |
| Rejected | Form rejected — check reason ❌ |
Payment Not Received? Common Reasons
The most frequent cause of failed payments is a mismatch between Aadhaar details and bank account data. If the account is not Aadhaar-seeded, frozen due to incomplete KYC, or closed after the application was filed, PFMS returns the transfer with rejection remarks. Errors at the college or district level — like name, category, income certificate, or course information mismatches — also push applications out of the payment queue.
Eligibility Checklist
To receive the payment, students must ensure:
- Bank account is linked with Aadhaar
- Account is NPCI-mapped for DBT transactions
- Application is verified by the District Scholarship Committee
- Pre-Matric students: family income below ₹1 lakh/year
Having Issues?
If students notice technical errors, mismatched data, or pending verification, they should immediately contact their institution or the District Scholarship Committee to resolve issues before the next payment cycle.
