Punjab National Bank (PNB) has Released the Notification for the Recruitment of 545 Local Bank Officer (LBO) Vacancies in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). Online Application Process for PNB Recruitment 2026 will Start from 20/07/2026 and Will End on 09/08/2026. Eligible Eandidates with the Requisite Banking Experience Can Apply Online Through the Official PNB Recruitment Website. Selection Process – Online Written Examination, Screening, Local Language Proficiency Test, Personal Interview and Document Verification. Q1: Are there any service bond and CIBIL score requirements?
ANS: Yes. Selected candidates must execute a Service Indemnity Bond, undertaking to serve the bank for at least three years or pay 200000 if they leave the job before the stipulated period. Additionally, candidates who hold bank accounts must maintain a CIBIL score of 680 or higher at the time of joining.
Q2: What are the transfer rules and probation period after joining?
Ans: Selected LBOs will be required to undergo a probation period of two years. Upon joining, officers will be posted in the state for which they applied; they cannot be transferred outside that state until they either complete nine years of service or are promoted to SMG Scale IV.
Q3: Is there negative marking in the Online Written Test?
ANS: Yes. There is a penalty for wrong answers; 0.25 (1/4th).
