Salary & Service Bond
- Selected candidates will undergo one year of training with a Basic Pay of ₹40,000.
- Upon successful completion of the training, they will be appointed as Officers at the E-1 level in the pay scale of ₹40,000 to ₹1,40,000.
- Candidates must sign a Service Agreement Bond of ₹4,50,000 to serve the company for a minimum of 3 years after the training period.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
- Tier-I Examination (Computer Based): An objective-type test consisting of 100 questions (200 marks) covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Time allowed is 1 hour. There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
- Tier-II Examination (Computer Based): Candidates who qualify Tier-I will appear for Tier-II, which includes Paper-I (Compulsory for all posts), Paper-II (Only for JSO/Statistical Investigator), and Paper-III (Only for AAO posts). Paper-I includes mathematical abilities, reasoning, English, general awareness, computer knowledge test, and a Data Entry Speed Test (DEST).
- Document Verification & Physical/Medical Test: Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification. Certain posts (like Inspector in CBIC/CBN, SI in CBI/NIA) require candidates to pass a specific Physical Standard and Medical Test.
How to Apply for SSC CGL Recruitment 2026
SSC has introduced major changes to its application portal this year. Please follow these steps carefully:
- Step 1: Visit the new official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
- Step 2 (New OTR): All candidates must generate a new One-Time Registration (OTR) on this new website. Old OTRs from the previous ssc.gov.in. portal will NOT work.
- Step 3 (Live Photo Capture): Do not upload a pre-existing photograph. The new application module requires you to capture a live photograph using a webcam or the SSC mobile app. Ensure you have good lighting, a plain background, and are not wearing a cap, mask, or spectacles.
- Step 4: Upload your scanned signature in JPEG/JPG format (10 to 20 KB).
- Step 5: Fill out the detailed application form, select your preferred examination centers carefully, and preview all details.
