How to Apply for SSC CGL Recruitment 2026

SSC has introduced major changes to its application portal this year. Please follow these steps carefully:

  • Step 1: Visit the new official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
  • Step 2 (New OTR): All candidates must generate a new One-Time Registration (OTR) on this new website. Old OTRs from the previous ssc.gov.in. portal will NOT work.
  • Step 3 (Live Photo Capture): Do not upload a pre-existing photograph. The new application module requires you to capture a live photograph using a webcam or the SSC mobile app. Ensure you have good lighting, a plain background, and are not wearing a cap, mask, or spectacles.
  • Step 4: Upload your scanned signature in JPEG/JPG format (10 to 20 KB).
  • Step 5: Fill out the detailed application form, select your preferred examination centers carefully, and preview all details.
  • Step 6: Pay the application fee (if applicable) and submit the form. Download the final confirmation page for your records.
